State Police investigating cruelty case involving 50 animals in Greene County

State Police in Greene County are investigating an animal cruelty case in Morgan Township, involving more than 50 animals.

PA State Troopers say the animal cruelty case involves 55 animals in total.

16 dead animals, 9 cats, 3 dogs, 2 birds, a snake and a bearded dragon were found dead inside a vehicle on Seven Creeks Road last week.

State Police tell KDKA Radio they're awaiting necropsy results to see how the animals died.

The surviving animal, 24 cats 13 dogs and two birds were located inside a camper.

They were taken to local animal shelters for care.

Police say they do have suspects in the case, but they're not yet identifying them as their investigation continues.
