After being closed for the entire 2024 season, the Steelers-theme Steel Curtain Rollercoaster at Kennywood is reopening.
The iconic Pittsburgh amusement park announced Thursday The Steel Curtain will open for the season on May 24.
Pennsylvania’s tallest coaster was undergoing an “extensive modification project” to “increase ride reliability and longevity.”
Current Steelers and alumni will join Kennywood staff for an official ribbon cutting to reopen the long-anticipated return of the coaster.
And, if you’re a Gold or Platinum Passholder at Kennywood, you will get an exclusive preview ride on May 23.
