A person claiming to be a Steeler is accused of scamming two women out of money.
A 20-year-old Female and a 50-year old female both in Avella, PA were recently scammed out of $1,000 by a person claiming to be a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to PA State Police, the woman was scammed on two separate occasions in late July and late August.
Troopers say an unknown person pretended to be rookie running back Eli Heidenreich and “scammed the victims out of money through various financial transactions.”
No suspects have been identified.
