An early morning tractor trailer fire on I-70 destroyed thousands of pounds of strawberries.
The fire broke out early Monday morning and according to a post on the Rostraver Township Fire Department's Facebook page, firefighters extinguished a blaze in a refrigerated van trailer hauling 27,000 pounds of California strawberries.
Rostraver West Newton Emergency Services transported one occupant from the scene with a foot injury. No other injuries reported.
