Striking Duquesne University police and security guards along with some PNC Park employees are returning work today after reaching a tentative contract agreement.

The announcement came last night with Duquesne Police.

28 members of Teamsters Local 249 walked off the job Monday after a bargaining session failed on Sunday.

The union's contract expired in October. A statement from Duquesne did not mention any contract details.

The union representing ushers and ticket sellers and takers at PNC Park has also avoided a strike, reaching a tentative agreement with the Pirates.

The Pittsburgh Stadium Independent Employees Union voted to strike Sunday and would have been picketing at Thursday’s home game.

A ratification vote is set for the end of April.

Terms of that deal were also not disclosed.
