Striking journalists at the Post-Gazette returned to their North Shore newsroom Monday morning, ending a walkout that lasted more than three years.
Newspaper Guild President Andrew Goldstein told KDKA Radio he expects tensions as staffers readjust, but says the union is focused on moving forward together.
“After there years and all the fighting we’ve done, there’s some anxiety, we’re a little nervous but also excited and I’m excited to doing my job and being a reporter and serving the people of Southwestern Pennsylvania,” said Goldstein.
Guild members say their return follows a federal appeals court ruling that found the paper bargained in bad faith during contract talks.
