There have been at least four storm-related deaths in Pennsylvania, two in Allegheny County and one each in Greene and Centre counties.
In Pittsburgh Tuesday night, a man was electrocuted in the South Side Slopes.
A live wire fell on his vehicle and he was killed trying to move it with a stick.
The other death in Allegheny County was in Ross Township in the 3200 block of Evergreen Road.
A 67-year-old man, identified as Raymond Gordon, was killed by a fallen tree.
A 25-year-old man died in Greene County when a tree fell on the vehicle he was in on Jefferson Road. And in Centre County, a 22-year-old man was electrocuted trying to put out a mulch fire near a utility pole in the State College area.
Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission Spokesman Nils Hagen Frederiksen says the best advice if a power line falls over your car, is to stay inside your vehicle and then contact 911 for further instructions.
“It’s not something to take into your own hands,” said Hagen.
He says if you must leave the car because of immediate danger, jump free of the car, making sure that no part of your body is touching the car when you come in contact with the ground, and mostly importantly, stay clear of all lines.
If you see a downed line anywhere, you should assume the line is active, is conducting power and “assume that anything, anywhere is also conducting power.”
