Flash flooding, damaging winds, hail and more is possible Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday.

The National Weather Service out of Pittsburgh says that the “environment remains favorable for hail and strong wind so stay weather aware.”

That means keeping your phones charged and keeping an eye on the forecast.

There has been a heightened focus on severe weather over the past couple weeks with several tornados confirmed around the Pittsburgh region.

Tornados are not expected on Wednesday into Thursday, but when severe weather moves through, there is a chance, especially when temperatures are above normal, in the mid-to-high 80s.

A strong line of storms moved through the area north of Slippery Rock on Wednesday afternoon.

High temperatures will be around 80 on Thursday and in the mid-80s through the Memorial Day weekend.
