At least three kids were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after their school van crashed into a Murrysville Eat'n Park.

The Franklin Regional School District said in a notice five students were in the A.J. Myers & Sons van on its way to the high school at the time of the incident.

EMS arrived on scene to assess all students. The district says three students were taken to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. Parents and guardians of those involved have been notified.

There's no word on what caused the incident.

Eat'n Park spokesperson Courtney Caprara told News Radio KDKA no employees or patrons inside the restaurant were hurt. The restaurant will remain closed until it is cleared to reopen by safety officials."We will reopen when cleared to do so by local safety officials," she said in a statement to News Radio KDKA. "No team members or guests inside the restaurant were hurt. We wish the students and the van driver a very quick recovery."
