A suspect accused of shooting at an unmarked Attorney General Narcotics Task Force last month has been taken into custody.
Allegheny County Police say Eric Durah was taken into custody Thursday after U.S. Marshals located him at a home in Penn Hills.
On February 27, agents were following a narcotic suspect’s vehicle, when it stopped suddenly and began to fire upon the unmarked law enforcement vehicle.
Agents and a McKees Rocks task force officer returned fire.
A second unmarked Attorney General vehicle followed the suspect’s vehicle out of the McKees Rocks area through Island Avenue, Chartiers Avenue and onto West Carson Street.
Multiple rounds were also fired at the second AG vehicle.
The suspect’s vehicle was later found on Mt. Washington.
During an investigation, County Police identified Durah as one of the suspects involved in the shooting.
He is currently at the Allegheny County Jail and faces 10 counts of aggravated assault, criminal attempt homicide of a law enforcement officer, assault of a law enforcement officer, arson and a firearm violation.
Anyone with additional information in the shooting is asked to call county police at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
