PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) A man accused of throwing bricks, concrete, and tear gas at officers during the May 30, 2020 riot in Downtown Pittsburgh has pleaded guilty.
Jordan Coyne, 26, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to a charge of obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder.
According to prosecutors, Coyne threw objects towards and injured uniformed Pittsburgh police officers.
The objects ranged from bricks to concrete and even a tear gas canister.
Coyne's actions are one of the reasons the peaceful protest turned into a violent riot.
Facing up to five years in prison, Coyne's sentencing is set for July 19.
