A Mt. Oliver man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop on the South Side Thursday evening.

The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office says 45-year-old Michael Kagan was pulled over just before 9 p.m. when suspicious activity was observed near the black SUV Kagan was in at the BP on East Carson Street.

Officers were unable to identify the license plate due to a tinted covering.

Kagan was stopped at the First National Bank. He told officers his license was suspended and deputies saw brass knuckles in the center console.

A search found a fabric bag on Kagan with a large amount of cash, 50 stamp bags of suspected heroin and two bags of crack cocaine.
