UPDATE: The man has been taken into custody.
"He will be evaluated by medics and taken to receive the assistance he needs," Public Safety said in a statement.
SWAT is on scene following shots fired in the 6600 block of Rowan Street in Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar.
Pittsburgh Public Safety say it happened just before 10:30 Monday morning.
"Negotiators are working to establish contact with a male in crisis," Public Safety said in a report.
