Three tents are visible Tuesday morning along the Parkway East, not far from the site of Monday's news conference where Mayor Gainey and County Executive Innamorato reported progress in clearing encampments from the City.
Monday, KDKA Radio asked the Mayor what would happen if tents returned.
“We’ll just continue to work,” said Gainey. “We know that housing, and that’s why you guys talk about housing so much, and we’re so focused on affordability.”
Innamorato says the City and County are being pro-active with signage around places where encampments have been seen.
She says City residents can call 311 and in the county at large, contact Allegheny Link to connect people in need with services that are available.
