
A food truck operating in Oakland has been ordered closed by the Allegheny County Health Department.
Thai Gourmet Express, based on Liberty Avenue, but operating near Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall of Bigelow Boulevard failed to pass inspection late last week.
The ACHD reports improper hot and cold food holdings, along with “inadequate facilities to maintain food temperatures.”
A food thermometer was not used and there was insufficient personal hygiene, lack of handwashing area and “improper cleaning procedures.”
There was also a lack of running water and no certified food manager on site.
The closing posted on June 15, is still active on the Health Department’s website as of June 19.
The food truck offers soups, salads, curry, stir fries, fried rice, noodles, drinks, desserts and more.
