Thanksgiving kicks off the holiday season next week and with that comes a lot of drinking.
To make sure people are being safe, the West Hills DUI Task Force says they’ll begin enforcement on Wednesday, November 26 through January 1, 2026.
Task force coordinator Lt. Shener Ulke, of Moon Township Police, says enforcement will take the form of sobriety checkpoints and/or roving DUI patrols.
While The exact locations and times of enforcement are not given, the West Hills DUI Task Force is comprised of members from police departments from the following communities:
Avalon
Bellevue
Carnegie
Coraopolis
Crafton
Crescent
Edgeworth
Findlay
Kennedy
Leetsdale
Moon
North Fayette
Oakdale
Ohio Township
Robinson
Sewickley
Stowe
In addition to those communities, PA State Police and other communities around Southwestern PA are planning enforcement for the holiday season.
