We’ve all been there. You send out a work email and by the time you realize you made a mistake…it’s too late.
That happened here in our Audacy Pittsburgh office Monday morning.
To celebrate the holidays, the bosses here are holding a raffle to win tickets to the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s “The Nutcracker” at the Benedum Center.
There was one problem though. The email sent out was for a pair of tickets to see “The Butcracker”, by our do-it-all Audacy Pittsburgh manager Amy Mauk.
That’s not an email you want to mistakenly send out at a radio company.
A follow-up was quickly sent, correcting the mistake, but the damage had already been done.
“That’s an all-timer,” said Adam Crowley on the Fan Morning Show, adding he wouldn’t have sent a correction and just move on.
Amy faced the music on the 100.7 Star Bubba Show.
“This will be the most read email and responded to and this isn’t just local, there are people on our corporate team that are on this email,” said Amy.
A few people thought “The Butcracker” was some sort of parody show. It’s not, but Bubba and Mel are contemplating how they could make it a reality.
You have to give it up to Amy though. She took the typo in stride with a smile on her face.
Everyone’s tired during the holidays and with it being a Monday morning, it’s easy to see how the Nutcracker could turn into the Butcracker.
At least she has both sides covered.
It just goes to show you, everyone makes mistakes!
