It’s a week away, but what is the weather shaping up to be next Friday for the Pittsburgh Pirates home opener at PNC Park?

When asked to look into his “crystal ball” to see what the temperature will be like at 4:10 p.m. when the New York Yankees come to town, National Weather Service meteorologist Matt Brudy gave the Big K Morning Show quite a bit of range.

Brundy says, “The low-end of the goal post, we’re looking like potential for mid-50s, but if we can clear out a little bit and capitalize on some more sun, we could be looking at like mid-to-upper 70s.”

He tells the Big K Morning Show, that even if the temperatures are on the cold end of the spectrum, it shouldn't be cold enough for snow.

Temperatures next week will slowly get warmer through the week with a high near 70 on Wednesday and in the mid-60s into the weekend.
