A Pittsburgh man was arrested at Pittsburgh International Wednesday.
TSA officers prevented him from taking a loaded .38 caliber gun onto a flight.
Besides being arrested, the unidentified man is facing a civil fine in the thousands of dollars.
Airline passengers can only have an unloaded firearm in their checked baggage, inside a hard-sided locked case.
The number of guns stopped at checkpoints this year is now 41, six more than the record set in 2019.
