The first trailer for one of TV’s biggest hits is out, the Pittsburgh-based medical drama The PITT.
Noah Wyle as Dr. Robby Robinavitch and the show return from sabbatical in January 2027 on HBO Max.
Already a multi-Emmy-winning show, The PITT has 26 nominations for this year’s awards.
Created by R. Scott Gemmill, The PITT takes place at a fictionalized Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center and based off of Allegheny General Hospital on the North Side.
While most of the show is filmed in California, all exterior shots are filmed around AGH.
The show picks up with Wyle’s Dr. Robby returning from a sabbatical after the end of season two.
And, season three will be the first of the series not taking place in the summer, with medics and other characters wearing coats in the trailer.
Frontline medical workers have praised the show for its accurate description of what they go through in an emergency room.
