The new plaza just outside of PNC Park has set its opening date, just in time for the 2026 Pirates season.
Legacy Hospitality Partners has announced The Plaza at North Shore will open on April 2 along with the new restaurant SugarBird, which will offer fast-casual food like fried chicken, donuts, ice cream and more.
Located at the corner of Mazeroski Way and General Robinson Boulevard, the 30,000 square foot plaza will also open a second restaurant, Highball Social Club, in the fall.
The Plaza has two stages and a 40’ LED screen that will shows games, movies and more.
A “star-studded’ event is planned over the NFL draft weekend and spring and summer concerts will be announced in the coming days.
Opening Day at PNC Park is the day after, April 3, when the Pirates host the Orioles.
“This is the crown jewel of the North Shore and we are unveiling it at a time when all eyes are on Pittsburgh. We are opening with a lot of fanfare and worldwide notoriety, starting with Opening Day and leading right into the draft,” says Herky Pollock, Owner of Legacy Hospitality Partners. “The North Shore has rapidly become the city’s premiere entertainment district and we’re committed to taking it to the next level in this district by providing unique and welcoming experiences for every demographic. This project will become part of the fabric and landscape of Pittsburgh as well as The North Shore for generations to come.”
