The 2023 holiday season is upon us and this year there's no shortage of Christmas trees in the Pittsburgh area contrary to reports.

Years ago, there was an excessive number of trees on the market that drove prices down, therefore smaller farms couldn't afford to replant, this caused the shortage many saw last year when searching for the perfect tree.

This year though, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Christmas Tree Growers Association Aaron Grau can assure you there's plenty of trees to choose from this year.

“There is no Christmas Tree shortage, if you want to buy a real Christmas Tree you can buy a real Christmas Tree,” said Grau.

Live Christmas trees will cost a little more this year. Be sure to shop early to get the size and type you want.
