T-shirts honoring the memory of a Rochester Area Elementary student killed by a drunk driver late last month are still for sale.

9-year-old Therman Wallace Jr. was killed while riding his bike at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Lacock Street in Rochester on the April 24.

53-year-old Thomas Cole is charged in the case.

Therman’s family, friends and community continue to deal with their deep, painful loss and are coming together to raise money for the Wallace family.

One way people are remembering him and supporting the family is through the sales of “Hey Bruh” t-shirts.

“Therman never knew a stranger as he thought of everyone as a ‘friend’, leading off by saying, ‘Hey Bruh!’.”

The green shirt also features a turtle.

“Therman's best buddy was his beloved turtle, Mr. McTurtle. This tshirt encompasses all that Therman was but honoring him with a Hey, Bruh! and Mr. McTurtle,” the website says.

Proceeds from the sale of each shirt will go to the Wallace family.

Theresa Marksteiner, who designed the shirt, tells KDKA Radio they’ve extended sales of the shirt to run through the end of the day on Monday, May 11.
