The federal government shutdown, now in its third day, has left hundreds of thousands of federal workers indefinitely furloughed or clocking in without paychecks.

At least 10 members of Congress from Pennsylvania say they are refusing pay until the government re-opens.

One of them is Congressman Chris Deluzio, who told KDKA Radio just this past week that lawmakers’ pay should be placed on hold during a shutdown, just like other federal workers and armed service members.

"A member of Congress, like me, should not be getting paid when these folks aren't getting paid. So I'm trying to pass a bill to make that the law of the land. And there are some constitutional issues that we can get around, but I just think it's foolish. And I think it's reckless to do this to people," he said.

Still no signs of a resolution in sight, as the funding lapse continues.
