A hazmat crew responded to a caustic liquid leak Wednesday night at US Steel Tower.
Public Safety says it happened around 7:15 p.m. after a contractor drilled a hole in one of the tower's columns filled with fire protection fluid.
Three people, including two police officers were treated for minor exposure to the fluid that can cause skin irritation.
Streets around the building were blocked off as crews worked to seal the leak while dealing with the stormy and windy weather.
The leak was contained about 10:30 and the cleanup was underway.
