UPDATE: Flood Warning issued to for Beaver and Lawrence Counties until 7:15 p.m.

A Tornado Watch has been issued for a large portion of Southwestern Pennsylvania into Wednesday evening.

The National Weather Service has issued the watch for Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, Fayette, Westmoreland, Washington and Greene Counties.

The watch is in effect until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.

As a reminder. A watch means it could happen. A warning means it is happening.

That means conditions for a tornado exist around the area into the evening, but that doesn’t mean it will happen.

Pay attention to any warnings that you hear on your phone and stay tuned to KDKA Radio for the latest weather developments.

A Flood Watch also remains in effect into early Thursday morning.
