A 14-year-old walking near some railroad tracks was fatally struck by a locomotive Sunday night in Westmoreland County.
The coroner's office says the boy was hit by a Norfolk Southern train in Hempfield Township a few minutes before 9 p.m.
The boy, who has not been identified, has been described as a "runaway" by PA State Police.
He is white, 5-foot-10 and weighs 190 pounds.
He has brown eyes and brown hair, did not have tattoos and was not wearing jewelry.
