According to Triple A, 2.6 million Pennsylvanians are expected to travel for the fourth of July holiday: 235,000 by air alone. That's an 8.7% increase from the 2023 numbers and Allegheny County Airport Authority's Bob Kerlik urges travelers to get to Pittsburgh International with time to spare:

“We are advising people to make sure that they are here at least two hours before their flight and if they are coming in the early morning bank of flights, say the 5-8am bank, they really should be looking at getting here 2-3 hours before their flight”

Next Monday, July 1st and Friday, July 5th are supposed to be the busiest travel days at Pittsburgh International surrounding the upcoming holiday.
