The biggest obstacle for trick or treaters tonight is the rain, but AccuWeather meteorologist Heather Zehr tells the Big K Morning Show the showers should hold off for most of the evening.
“As we head on to the evening hours, we’re going to start to see some showers from the west catching up with us,” said Zehr. “I don’t think that they’re going to get here before about 9 o’clock this evening so it may be a little close but I do think it stays dry through the trick or treat hours.”
Zehr says the rain that does come through won’t be more than a quarter of an inch.
Trick or treating is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening in the City of Pittsburgh and for many other local communities.
The scheduled high for Halloween is 81. That would be a record for Pittsburgh.
Temperatures will dip just a bit over the weekend before rising again early next week.
Tuesday’s high will be in the low 80s.
