State Police say a trooper was almost hit by a car while responding to reports of drag racing and vehicles doing burnouts on the Fort Pitt Bridge early Friday morning.
According to a release, the call came in around 3:30 a.m. for about 50 cars stopped on the bridge.
When troopers arrived, the driver of a burgundy Jeep Grand Cherokee allegedly drove into a marked state police cruiser.
The driver fled the scene, almost hitting a trooper.
State Police say they found the car, and the investigation is ongoing.
