A Troy Hill grandmother's death has been ruled a homicide. But, authorities don't know how or why.
Authorities have a ruled 73-year-old Patricia Kachinko's death last week a homicide.
According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office, Kachinko died June 24 at a local hospital.
Cause of death was respiratory complication from blunt force trauma of the chest.
But what led up to Kachinko's death remains a mystery.
Records from the medical examiner show that Kachinko died after some type of incident last month in the city's Troy Hill neighborhood.
Whatever it was that caused this woman's death, happened shortly before 6:30 in the evening June 2 in the 1000 block of Ley Street.
Pittsburgh Police are investigating.
