One of the men who was shot during the attempted assassination of Donald Trump in Butler has died.
Jim Copenhaver was critically injured in the July 2024 shooting.
There's no word on the cause of death for the Moon Township man who was 74 at the time of the shooting, and would later become a very prominent voice among the shooting survivors.
He died Wednesday at AHN West Penn Hospital.
Earlier this year, Copenhaver and David Dutch, who was also injured, filed a lawsuit seeking damages from the federal government over the Secret Service's handling of the rally.
Corey Comperatore was shot and killed in the incident.
Gunman Thomas Michael Crooks was killed by a sniper after he had fired eight shots into the rally.
