The town of Turtle Creek has been recognized by PCMag.com as one of the great places to work from home.
Turtle Creek ranks #7 on that list in the U.S. and Canada.
Councilwoman Connie Tinsley was pleasantly surprised at the news. "That's very great news for us. We are a very small, modest town, but it is pleasant when you get news like that - that other people recognize your strengths."
Tinsley tells the KDKA Radio morning show that the town, which is approximately one mile in area, has some unique features.
"Generations of families sometimes live in the same home - the family homestead gets passed on - so that makes it very unique," she said.
5,200 people currently call Turtle Creek home.
PCMag.com touts the proximity to downtown Pittsburgh and cost of living among Turtle Creek's highlights.
They wrote wrote "Pittsburgh has evolved into a tech-savvy, artsy city, and the eastern suburbs are some of the least expensive places to live in the area, including Turtle Creek but also Monroeville and North Versailles."
Number one on the list of best places to work from home is Chattanooga, Tennessee.
