Three people are hospitalized, one in critical condition and two others are stable after a multi-vehicle accident Thursday in Turtle Creek.
It happened right around 12:30 Thursday on the 100 Block of Monroeville Avenue.
Allegheny County police say their preliminary investigation is a chain reaction accident began when a City of Pittsburgh garbage truck hit the back of a Mitsubishi Mirage that was sitting at a red light on the Tri-Boro Expressway.
Then, the truck continued through the intersection and hit a Chevy Colorado before overturning onto its side.
The Colorado also lost a tire that in turn hit a Turtle Creek Police car.
The accident remains under investigation and witnesses are asked to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL TIPS.
