
Two people were arrested early Monday in two separate incidents involving stolen guns on the South Side.
Pittsburgh Police say the first incident happened around 2:15 a.m. near Wright’s Way and South 18th Street.
Police heard a gunshot in a parking lot and found four people fighting with others running from the area.
After an investigation and view of video footage 30-year-old Rayshan Hammond of Penn Hills was arrested after a gun was found underneath a vehicle.
He is charged with aggravated assault, carrying a firearm without a license and more.
Then, around 2:45 a.m. police saw another man returning to a vehicle in a parking lot at Wright’s Way and South 18th were detectives spotted a gun with a Glock switch showing underneath the driving seat.
That vehicle was reported stolen out of Detroit.
24-year-old Andre Yates was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property and more.
