Two children died in a Sewickley house fire early this morning.
Allegheny County police say the fire engulfed the front of a home around 2:45 this morning in the 500 block of Miller Way.
The two children were pulled from the home by firefighters, but were pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman also jumped from the house and is now in the hospital. There's no word on her condition.
The home was heavily damaged in the fire. Investigators are working to determine the cause.
The two children have not yet been identified by the Medical Examiner's Office.
Dr. Tammy Andreyko, Quaker Valley superintendent said both children were students in the district. Counselors will be present in all school buildings.
"We are working this morning to assist our staff as they learn of and process this tragedy," she said. "While we do not have official details regarding this incident, we will address student questions should they arise."
