Two people are dead and a third was wounded in two separate shootings around the Pittsburgh area Tuesday.

A man and a woman were found dead in Homestead Tuesday afternoon.

A 911 call about five shots fired inside a home in the 100 block of West 15th Avenue came in around 4:14 p.m.

The first officers to arrive got no response. Allegheny County Police SWAT then broke into the home and used a drone before entering.

Once inside, police found the two victims, identified as 54-year-old John West of West Mifflin and 45-year-old Antoinette Porterfield of Homestead.

Information from the Medical Examiner says both were shot by an assailant.

Earlier in the afternoon, ShotSpotter alerted Pittsburgh Police to a couple of rounds fired near the intersection of Lincoln and Lemington Avenues at about 2:45 p.m.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound to an arm.

He was in stable condition when he was taken to a hospital.
