UPDATE: The Health Department says the sewage issue has been resolved and the closed order has been lifted.
Two restaurants in Bridgeville that share a building were ordered closed over the weekend.
Armstrong’s Express and La Bella Bean, both at 609 Washington Avenue, were ordered closed on May 10 after an active sewer leak was observed by Allegheny County Health Inspectors.
An inspection report reads, there was “wastewater flowing from the basement’s wastewater system while flushing toilets, running the bathroom hand sink, and when the two-compartment sink is running.”
The sewer issue forced both businesses to close, until repairs are made.
As of early Monday afternoon, the closure is still active on the County’s website.
