Two Pittsburgh area JCPenney stores are among 119 locations sold for close to $1 billion dollars.
Stores at the Mall at Robinson and Westmoreland Mall are part of the sale to an affiliate of Onyx Partners, expected to be final in early September.
Customers should not expect any changes in day-to-day operations at the retailer.
Separately, the Pittsburgh Business Times is reporting the former Penney's location at Clearview Mall will be redeveloped into medical office space.
