A teenage boy was gunned down late last night in Wilmerding and a man was fatally shot in Munhall overnight.
Allegheny County Police responded to both scenes.
The 911 call about the Wilmerding shooting was made around 11:30 p.m.
Officers sent to the 300 block of Patton Street say the boy was shot in the head.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
He's been identified as Dillan Shearer, an East Allegheny High School student.
The East Allegheny School District said in a statement there would be counselors available for students and staff and extra security from North Versailles police.
In Munhall, police responded just before 4 a.m. to a shooting on the 500 block of East 9th Avenue.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing in both shootings.
