Two local men are facing charges in separate child porn cases.
Attorney General Dave Sunday’s office says 62-year-old Kenneth Klink of Beaver Falls is charged with 66 felonies for possession of files, some of which were made by artificial intelligence.
43-year-old Joshua Crockett of Vestaburg is charged with 33 felonies, and officials say one of the images he's accused of having or sharing was also generated by AI.
“Both of these cases involved proactive investigations by our agents that uncovered vile materials depicting children being abused,” Attorney General Sunday said. “These cases illustrate the horrific side of modern technology, with one defendant sharing files online and the other defendant using A.I. technology to depict himself committing heinous acts.”
