Two women hospitalized after separate shootings on New Year's Day
Two women were hospitalized on New Year's Day following separate shootings.
The first incident happened around 12:30 a.m. at a home along Constance Street on the North Side.
Police say she was shot in the leg and in stable condition.
Seven hours later, officers were sent to East Hills, where a woman was wounded several times in a leg.
It happened about 7:30 a.m. along Bennett Street.
She was also in stable condition.
No word yet about what led to the gunfire or of any arrests.
