Since its sudden closure last fall, drivers have been wondering when the Panther Hollow Bridge and the nearby Charles Anderson Bridge would once again be ready for traffic.

While no exact dates have been released, the Gainey Administration is providing some guidance.

Certified rope climbing inspectors have been looking at Panther Hollow and it expects to get final plans on the bridge this June.

Construction would then begin shortly thereafter.

On the Charles Anderson Bridge, there are 27 stages to the project, and they've done the first three.

They've also removed the overpass next to it, and reconstruction will start soon.

It will start carrying traffic by Fall of next year and be fully completed by the following Spring.

Work is almost done on a pedestrian bridge in Brighton Heights. The Davis Avenue Pedestrian Bridge is set to open by Memorial Day.

But the Wilkesboro Avenue pedestrian bridge, closed since 2007, is now scheduled to be demolished.
