A family in Upper St. Clair is looking for their dog that has been missing since January 1.
Learn more about Nash
Melissa Matthew tells The Big K Morning Show she took Nash, a red-ticked coonhound, out around 7 p.m. that evening when he got the scent of something.
He slipped out of his collar and took off down Long Drive.
It's in a coonhound's DNA to hunt raccoons, so Nash has gotten out before but has been already been brought back home.
Matthew says a fireman from Bethel Park brought a search dog was able to pick up Nash's scent but unable to find him.
The scent was found near Gilkeson Road through woods nearby and down to Iroquois Park behind the Galleria in Mount Lebanon.
If you see Nash, call 412-853-4522 or 724-986-5684.
Nash does not have any tags but is chipped and Melissa says Nash is a gentle giant and is not dangerous.
