A North Side man has been arrested in connection with a homicide that took place last summer.
On Tuesday, U.S. Marshals and Pittsburgh Police arrested 24-year-old Darnell McFadden in the shooting death of Demetrius Herring back on June 14, 2020.
Police received a number of Shotspotter alerts in the 1200 block of Woods Run Avenue in Brighton Heights around 1:45am that day and when they arrived on the scene they found a man with a gunshot wound to his chest.
The victim was pronounced dead when he arrived at a local hospital.
McFadden is charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, drug and firearms charges.
