Valley Dairy Restaurant to take over former King's location

The former King’s restaurant location that closed a little over a week ago in Leechburg already has a new occupant.

Valley Dairy Restaurants will take over the Westmoreland County location at 315 Hyde Park Road.

The announcement was made on their Facebook page by the President of Valley Dairy Restaurants, Melissa Blystone on Tuesday.

No word on when the location will reopen but the new location will be able to seat 150 customers and are looking to hire 50 people.

The restaurant is known for its ice cream and All-American Banana Split as well as their extensive menu.

“The family-oriented restaurants offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and ice cream creations,” the announcement said on Facebook. “The company’s mission is to offer good food at sensible prices in a friendly atmosphere.”

Dairy Valley has been operating in Western Pennsylvania for over 80 years and has locations in, Mt. Pleasant, Belle Vernon, Blairsville, Butler, Cranberry, Connellsville, DuBois, Indiana, Johnston, Kittanning and Latrobe (also the home of their headquarters).
