Firefighters and EMTs were called to a vehicle fire Sunday night at the parking garage below Chatham Tower.
A sedan crashed inside the garage and caught fire around 7 p.m.
Fire crews extinguished the flames quickly and rescued the driver.
EMS took the man to a hospital in critical condition.
Detectives are investigating why the driver lost control of the car.
No other injuries were reported.
