A 64-year-old man is in custody today, accused of physically assaulting a woman and stealing her necklace.
The incident happened Tuesday night around 7:30 along West Railroad Avenue in Verona.
Police identified the man as an acquaintance of the victims.
The suspect is facing a number of charges including robbery and assault.
The woman suffered minor injuries during the attack.
