War hero charged with raping teen waives right to a hearing

The Afghanistan war veteran accused of sexually assaulting a minor has waived his right to a hearing.

Brandon Rumbaugh's hearing on several charges appeared this morning before District Judge Michael Thatcher.

Prosecutors say Rumbaugh raped a 13-year-old girl on at least two different occasions at his Pleasant Hills home.

Rumbaugh was injured in Afghanistan which left him a double amputee and was awarded a Commendation Medal for valor by the Marines.
