It’s been a cold and snowy start to December with average temperatures below average, but that is coming to an end just in time for Christmas.
The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh says beginning on December 20 a warmer weather pattern will move into the area through Christmas and a few days beyond.
“The will mean rainfall events will be more likely than snow through this period,” the National Weather Service says in a post on X.
High temperatures are expected to be in the low-to-mid 40s through the end of the year, into early January 2026.
So, if you’re hoping for a white Christmas, all the snow that fell over the weekend may all be melted by late next week.
